Concentrated cold

Had a fever and the mint was minting. Made my patched for head cold. Another time it was crazy hot at work, put the patch on my upper back between my shoulder blades, the patch was warm (my bad, had it in my pocket) but that hot day I wasn't too hot. The sensation of cooling was there even though I kept it warm??? Idk what that's about. But next day it was a cooler temp and I didn't use it. But I noticed I sweated a lot more and complained of being hot more 🤷♀️

Temperature

These seemed semi-effective. In my opinion they last more like 4 hours than 8 hrs. Other brands I have tried have the ability to be cool again in that time period by taking them off and back on to keep them going. That did not work on these. Additionally, the gel is more sticky/ gooey rather than just being the adhesive. In a pinch they would work (I used them when I had a sinus infection to help with my fever and for migraine attacks as an adult method to cool at least my forehead. While the value of the product vs cost was high, quality was low enough that it makes me pause on re-ordering then again.
