My son loves this scooter. It's stylish and it performs exactly the way it's described. Just charge it overnight and let those little critters glide. It's not too heavy but it is weighty enough to let you feel the quality. It comes pre-assembled and whether you want to use the battery feature or manual push, you'll enjoy your experience. GREAT BUY!!!

Great while it lasted

Review after a year... TLDR: doesn't last a year and poor customer service... This was purchased for my 10 year old son for Christmas 2023. We ordered it Thanksgiving week and received it shortly after. It was a good scooter for the first 9 months. Battery life was ok, speed was right for a 10 year old. Unfortunately, at the nine month point, it would lose power and start beeping intermittently. After a few weeks of that, I decided to submit a warranty claim at the beginning of November. They verified the issue over the phone (they could hear the beeping) and sent a shipping label. We shipped it off and waited. Weeks later we received the scooter back in trashed box with no padding whatsoever. To add to our surprise the issue was not fixed. I called the support line and was told the water indicators had been activated. We live in Florida, it is humid all the time and it rains. We keep a tight leash on when our son is allowed to ride, and he has not ridden in the rain or gone through any large puddles. At most he has ridden when the road is still damp. Bottom line, they refused to fix under warranty. While not happy with that, I went to order the parts from Segway's official shop so he would have something to ride. I found all the parts I needed and placed an order for $65 on 19 November 2023. As of today, 9 Jan 2024, my credit card has been charged but the parts have not shipped. I have called three times about the order with no success. The representative has verified the parts are in stock, yet they still will not ship the parts. They ask if I would like to cancel the order, as if that would do any good. Each time they have sent a message to the "warehouse" to get the order shipped. In each call, they also promised a follow-up email within 24 hours. I have yet to receive a single email from these interactions (yes, i checked my junk etc). If I cancelled the order, all I would have a $200+ intermittently working scooter. I would not recommend this scooter or this company for your business. Bottom line: If you live in a place where it is humid or it rains, do not purchase this scooter. If you expect the scooter to work more than 9 months, do not order this scooter. If you expect part orders to be fulfilled, do no order this scooter or from Segway. If you expect decent customer support, do not buy this scooter or do business with Segway. I am so disappointed with this experience, this is the first Amazon review I have ever written in an attempt to warn others away from this scooter and brand.
