Delightfully Delicious/ Dangerous (for your waistline)!

I didn't grow up eating peppermint bark but I sure fell in love with how pretty and delicious it is. After going through a 5oz Ghiradelli bag in pretty much the same day I got them, I decided to try finding peppermint bark in bulk but wrapped in case I want to share them.... or pretend to have some semblance of self control. These are smaller but chunky and velvety with flecks of candy cane texture. The chocolate is a thin layer so the mint flavor is really highlighted. If you like more of a truffle than a crackly texture and minty flavor I highly recommend this. ^_^ The only downside to these are that some pieces are not perfectly wrapped and it uses hydrogenated oils. But, heck They are THAT delicious I can overlook those.

Pleasant taste, but nothing like Peppermint Bark.

I was so excited to find the R.M. Palmer peppermint bark on Amazon, looking for an affordable alternative to what I’ve purchased at Williams~Sonoma, or have bought in the supermarket, (Ghirardelli), for years. The main reason I bring up Williams~Sonoma and Ghirardelli is that I KNOW what peppermint bark should taste like, and disappointingly, this is NOT it. It is a pleasant enough chunk of peppermint flavored chocolates, sprinkled with small pieces of candy cane. But it lacks the right flavors of both the dark and white chocolates to make it taste like true peppermint bark, and not just any old white and dark chocolates stuck together, sprinkled with peppermint pieces. Bottom line, if you want chucks of dark and white chocolate flavored with peppermint, sprinkled with candy cane pieces on top, I think you’ll really enjoy this candy. HOWEVER, if you are looking for actual peppermint bark to buy, this is unfortunately, NOT the product to get.
