Grab a cat, then step on these scales. Take a reading, step off and let the cat go. Step back on before the scales turn off, take a second reading. Subtract. Now you have a pretty decent ballpark figure. Have you noticed "before the scales turn off" part?… It's there for a reason. Once they're off, so are the bets. If you want to weigh yourself for a driver's license, no problem. But if you are watching your weight for gain or loss – look elsewhere, as these scales (if you let them turn off or tare them between measurements) will give you different readings in a matter of minutes, with variance of as much as 10lb. Not good, not good at all. …But hey, at least they work fine in determining if your cat falls into "under 5lb" category!
