It's bigger inside
By FLRHCARR on Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2021
This enclosure is huge! Make sure that you have room for it. Read the measurements. Some of the pix are next to my wide & tall mid tower case, & that can easily go inside. This is easy to build. The little pipes go in the front & back. Secure size #2 to the top of the enclosure with connectors. Turn enclosure over & build the bottom section. Installing side pieces will be a breeze, except for the last one, where You'll have to push it a bit because it's new. As you can see, if fits my (220X220X250) Ender 3 with the regular size roll. It works fine with it. There is plenty of room in the front & back, for tools, rolls, what ever. There is a great amount on the sides as well. The poles are snug, but not tight. As you can see, I have the printer cable tucked under the front bar. Nice & easy. I strung some LED bright whites along the right & top, to get some light in there, & it works great. No GITD, but looks great with a black light. I can clearly see everything in there that I need to. I have all of the wiring enter from the right side access, & with the convenient Velcro, seal that up as tight as possible. You want this one over the others because it has room. It has room to grow, & has convenient elastics, & access ports. It's also about the same price as it's nearest competitor (at the time of purchase). It's light, but solid. It comes in a carry bag (waste), kind of like a tent would. I suppose you could use the bag to tote around your collapsible pool que, or Jo stick, with a very cool SainSmart logo on it. I'm not going to take the enclosure apart & tote it around, I like having my 3d printer in there. I do expect a Dr. or other time lord to arrive at any moment though. I can't say anything about the fire retardation rating, but can say that it does a great job of keeping the heat & smells in, overall. I haven't tried ABS as yet, sorry. Not that the Ender3 is a loud printer, but the SainSmart enclosure reduces those noises as well. Especially the stock PSU fan. It also makes a great sound absorbing barrier (wash helper) for my very loud video card from my tower (next to it), with it sitting on the other side. Bottom line. Don't waste your money on some crappy, poorly sewn knock off. Put your money into this, & you'll be happy that you did. The front zippers have fast pull tabs that make it easy to open when you need to, & when you're 3D printing, you need to. Improvements that I, personally would like to have & may have to make on my own. A Velcro/hook & loop fastener to secure the front entrance/window, when I flip it over. Just to keep it more neat. But really I only open it when I need to remove printed parts, or such. A Velcro/hook & loop side access on the left side (I won't make that). Also, one more side bar for the top, to keep it up, or in place. It sags a bit. Bottom line perks: Pockets, elastic strips for tools on the outside, easy access flaps on side & top, & fits Printer with regular sized roll of filament. It helps isolate the printer from cold drafts & it makes a huge statement. It reduces noise & keeps any smells at bay.

Noxious!
By Animal Lover on Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2023
I don't know what it is about this enclosure, but my fumes seem to have INCREASED DRAMATICALLY since I got it..... somehow. Maybe it's related to the smell I noticed while assembling it. Is it in the fabric?? But even with PLA now, it's bad. I'm going to try activated carbon filtration inside and out of the enclosure to see if that stops the burning eyes, sore throat, stench and fire alarm that I've started getting. HEPA won't filter VOCs. UPDATE: It's the enclose. I opened it for a while and didn't even print anything, and I can TASTE bitter in the air, and I got a little dizzy. I'm running aggressive activated carbon filtering and still had to open my window - again, having not even printed anything. I'm going to take this health hazard out and just run open air for my own safety. Thanks again, China.
