TitleistPlayerMix 48 Recycled Golf Balls

The price for good brand balls was legit. That's why I got into it in the first place. But clearly this is not "barely used” (or washed). Today I hit 10 strokes on a par 5 before I realized the ball was totally deformed. I mean it was practically like those 12 sided dice you see in some board games. Pretty frustrating to be questioning my stroke like that only to see after the fact the ball played a factor. I'm not a pro and it wasn't a tournament obviously. I'm buying used balls because I lose them often enough to make it too pricey otherwise but how many are like this in the bag? I now have to check every ball and recalculate the cost due to some being plain trash. Who knows what's going on with some of them even if you can't see any external damage. Honestly some brands sell new balls around the same cost as these so I would definitely prefer new off brand over deformed high end any day. Not sure if I fully regret the purchase yet, but I feel a bit misled without disclaimers saying a percentage of the balls you receive will be unplayable or defective.
