The BEST sunscreen I've found
By Mary F. on Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2025
This is my MUST HAVE sunscreen. I've had almost every type of skin cancer (thankfully, caught early), so I NEED good sun protection, especially on my face. I have very fair skin. This product leaves a bit of a white cast, but after a short period of time, that white case is absorbed. The white cast of a mineral sunscreen might look chalky on a person with darker skin. The BEST thing about this sunscreen is I can put it on my eyelids and under my eyes, it doesn't irritate my eyes AT ALL. The other well-known sunscreen I used for a long time really made my eyes sting if a bit got into them. This is my favorite sunscreen of all time.

Leaves white cast, works okay under makeup.
By Winnie on Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2023
First time using this sunscreen. I have very sensitive skin and thought since my skin tolerates their cleansers and moisturizers surely it should tolerate the sunscreen. So far so good. It’s very calming on my skin (maybe because of the zinc), but it leaves a noticeable white cast especially if you have dark skin. I wear mine under makeup and have a separate sunscreen from another brand on days where I don’t want to wear makeup. The white cast actually acts as a blank base and helps my foundation to lay well. A tip I learned from makeup artists years ago. Sunscreens that leave a white cast cancels out your natural color and acts as a corrector, concealer and foundation to lay better and look more like skin. Think of it like painting on a blank canvas. The texture is not lotion like and is actually quite thick. make sure to moisturize well before apply this sunscreen. I’ll write an update if I notice any negative issues, but so far I’m content with it because of the purpose I'm using it for.

It’s really good mineral sunscreen. It has a white caste initially but it blends in well after a while. I loved to use it on a holiday by the beach. It works well for both face and body.
Pros & Cons - Trustworthy Mineral SPF

So, this product has some amazing qualities about it but it’s also not the most cosmetically elegant formula out there (I use it on my face/neck/hands). Some of the pros and cons overlap - allow me to explain. Pros: the ingredients are extremely non-irritating and I really trust the safety of this product; you can see where you are putting it because it is paste-like; the coverage is full and I feel very protected when I wear it; it is sweat proof; wears well under makeup and actually helps keep makeup on longer; it is a high SPF mineral sunscreen which typically provides better broad spectrum protection, does not degrade when exposed to UV rays, and is effective as soon as you apply it (chemical sunscreens work entirely differently and take 20 minutes to be absorbed and thus effective). Cons: It is paste-like, so it leave a slight white cast which does diminish a bit after 10 minutes or so, and rubbing it in thorough helps too (I am Caucasian & a 3 on the Fitzpatrick skin typing scale); because it is sweat/water proof, it sometimes leaves a residue on my fingers after I apply it & it makes taking my makeup off in the evening more difficult as well, so I always have to double or triple wash In summation, this is a great sunscreen that I will continue to use because I trust it. I prefer to wear this one under makeup because the white cast can be covered up. If I had a lighter skin tone that would not matter so much. For days I don’t wear makeup I am interested to find a tinted mineral SPF that I trust as much as this one but won’t break the bank. This one is a great value.
Super sunblocking

Excelent sunblock, I have tried multiple brands and this one is by far the best to really block the sun if you don't want to get tan, goes well under makeup and it doesn't burn the eyes. Yes it does leave you face white like any strong sunblock.

GREAT for sensitive skin

I have the most sensitive, dermatitis prone skin of anyone in human history. This sunscreen didn't cause me to flare nor did it cause my existing flare to worsen. It is SOOO gentle and sensitive skin friendly. Now, let's address the elephant in the room first: yes, there's a whitest with this sunscreen BUT only if you treat it like a chemical sunscreen. You can't quickly rub it in and be good to go. I apply half, rub it in, let it sink in for a few minutes, rub in the other half, wait a few minutes and go back and rub it in more. On days where I don't have as much time I do apply a tiny bit of tinted sunscreen (tower 28 sunny days is my go-to) on top and it completely cancels out any white cast. I am also super picky about how sunscreen/makeup feels on my face, if something feels cakey I can't stand it. I am shocked this doesn't feel cakey on my skin at all. The only downside is the 10-15 minutes it takes to sink in and having to rub it in twice. If you've got the time this is a god send for sensitive skin!
White cast, does not blend in at all.

I really wanted to like this sunscreen because of its high SPF and mineral protection, but it’s completely unusable for me. No matter how little I apply or how long I try to rub it in, it leaves an intense white cast that refuses to blend. It sits on top of the skin and makes me look ghostly. If you have anything other than very fair skin, this will likely be a problem. Definitely not worth the hype.
