Taste Good * But What are those Hard Bits?
By DeeDeep on Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2023
This taste pretty close to real brown sugar. But, I've been having some major problems. It seems like there's hard little bits in it. I know they're just part of the sweetener, but it grosses me out, because they don't dissolve. When I see them going around in my mixer, they look like little bugs jumping around. They're NOT. But, that's what they remind me of. So, I keep stopping the mixer and trying to spoon the dark, hard little bits out, that won't blend in. I've never had this happen before with any sweetener or monk fruit. It also is very grainy and clumps an awful lot. It actually clumps more like real brown sugar and that wouldn't be a bad thing, if it weren't for the hard bits. Not a problem, if I'm making brownies or something dark.I first wanted to recommend this, because it tastes pretty good in most things. But, since I've had such a hard time incorporating it into my recipes, I can't recommend it. It is cheap, though. So, that's a plus. It may be that I just got a bad batch. I noticed some reviewers said theirs had a "Smell" and I didn't see a problem with that. So, maybe there's a quality control issue or something and some of the lots are different.Thank you for reading my review.
