Great Sunscreen for Highly Sensitive Skin
By VanDelay on Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2024
I’m just post-contact dermatitis patch testing (+ for some fragrances) and I’m now on a 2 month “de-tox” of fragrances, many preservatives, and sensitizers. This left me with very few choices for sunscreen. My Derm recommended using the SkinSafe app to find what will be OK for me (without it, shopping would be a nightmare) and it spit out sunscreens by TiZo, a brand I’ve never heard of. While I don’t like the price tag, I must admit it delivers a lovely sunscreen. I’ve used both non-tinted Replenish (this one) and another tinted by Tizo (Tizo3 Primer/Sunscreen) and I like both. TEXTURE: This non-tinted version Replenish has a more traditional texture like that of a modest moisturizer, while the tinted Primer was actually oddly dry in texture. LOOK: However, both look great and go on easily and dry quickly—but PREP: I use Vanicream Vitamin C & Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer for sensitive skin (both are quickly absorbed lotions) first to help make my face a little more ‘slippery’ to allow the sunscreen to glide on nicely. FINISH: I generally don’t put makeup on top of my sunscreen, so I can’t speak to pilling. I like the light, even tint of the tinted primer and if I’ve got some extra redness from Rosacea, I might use L’Oreal’s redness correction BB cream underneath or atop as needed. I don’t see a white cast at all with the non-tinted. I don’t use many products at all right now, so I can’t speak to how well these combine with other products or actives. COVERAGE: Using the spread the sunscreen all the way down two fingers and apply technique, my UV sunscreen checking camera (from Bluestone Sunshields) showed that I had full coverage to my face and neck, giving me more confidence in the drier tinted sunscreen that I feared might not cover as well. OVERALL: If you have sensitive skin, must avoid lots of common ingredients like I do, or are just looking for a lovely sunscreen with nice looking, full coverage, I *highly recommend* this sunscreen and others by TiZo. It is on the expensive side but given that sunscreen is the best anti-aging product available, I find it worth the extra $$.

because tube opening did not have a protective seal, it was not sanitary
By Beverly T.Hooks on Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2025
I have been ordering Tito for several years with no problem, always arriving in a box and with a protective seal over the tube opening where you would squeeze the sunscreen out. This time it arrived without being boxed and there was no seal protecting the tube tip. which led me to think it was a return from previous buyer. I sent it back
