Accurate and Easy to Use – Gave Me Clear Results
By Aaron Caldwell on Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2025
I purchased the Clearblue Early Detection Pregnancy Test because I wanted a reliable answer as soon as possible. After using it, I can confidently say that it’s easy to use, provides quick results, and is one of the more accurate early tests on the market.Ease of UseThe instructions are straightforward, and the test itself is simple to take. The grip is comfortable, and the wider tip makes it easier to aim if you’re testing directly in the urine stream. I also appreciate that it comes with a clear results window—no guessing about faint lines!Accuracy & SensitivityI tested five days before my expected period, and I got a faint but visible positive. A couple of days later, I took another test, and the line was darker, confirming the pregnancy. If you’re testing early, keep in mind that lines may be faint at first.Speed of ResultsThe test delivered results in about 3 minutes, which is pretty standard. I liked that the lines were clear and didn’t smudge or fade over time.Things to Keep in Mind • Early testing may give faint results – If you test several days before your missed period, you may see a faint line. Retesting in a couple of days can help confirm. • False negatives are possible if testing too early – Even though it’s an early detection test, HCG levels vary, so a negative doesn’t always mean you’re not pregnant. • Digital vs. Line Test – If you prefer an unmistakable “Pregnant” or “Not Pregnant” result, you may want the digital version instead.Final VerdictThis test is accurate, easy to use, and great for early detection. Just be aware that very early results can be faint, and if you get a negative before your period is due, you might want to retest later. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to test early!

Clearblue early detection test review - beware the urine trap
By CJ on Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2024
Clearblue Early Detection is a newer product that competes with First Response Early Result to be the most sensitive test available in stores.Unfortunately, these Clearblue tests have already developed a negative reputation because urine gets trapped under the plastic result window and can look like a second line to a novice user. If you think this could be happening, you can press on the window and see moisture move.I finally got to observe this myself after reading about it in online trying to conceive groups. I ordered these tests because they had same day delivery and I was experiencing faint lines on another brand and wanted to check with a different test that is marketed as more sensitive.Interestingly, I have observed that easy@home hcg tests seem to be more sensitive than both these tests and FRER currently even though they're marketed as 25 miu/ml sensitivity, not as extra early result tests. However, the interesting thing about these Clearblue tests is the DualSense technology (described as "a unique FSH scavenger system designed to help reduce false positves from non-pregnancy related hCG, in the very small number of non-pregnant women who may have low levels of hCG in their urine").The goal of this is to prevent false positives in perimenopausal women who have elevated FSH. I don't, but I like that they're trying to make a smarter pregnancy test for women trying to conceive at older ages.
