The solar charging doesn’t seem to woek

This lantern throws a lot of light! This weekend was my first time using it while camping. I charged it with an outlet and needed to recharge today so thought I’d use solar. The solar charge didn’t work well. My lantern stayed on for about 15 minutes and died. It was in direct sunlight for at least 10 hours today. Right now I’ve got it plugged into a battery bank. The reason I bought it was for the solar recharging so I’m pretty disappointed that it doesn’t seem to work. Otherwise it’s really a neat, portable lantern. ****update*** The company reached out to me regarding my lantern issues. It seems that I got a defective one. They replaced it and the new one charges and runs perfectly. Their customer service is excellent, rare these days! I’m happy I gave it another chance. These lanterns are super portable and bright! I updated my rating to 5 stars.

I'm old and decrepit so maybe its just me but.........

I'm old, decrepit, and not very computer savvy but I ordered this instead of cheaper "light only" choices because I assumed it would charge my Iphone SE right out of the box with the cord provided. Not so. The short cord included has a USB end and a smaller end. This smaller end (micro?) is not same configuration that will plug into my Iphone SE. WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THIS BEFORE ORDERING? Is everyone else bringing their OWN cord with them (i.e....TWO separate cords are needed). I've kept this as a 3 star review in case this was MY screw up but I never recalled reading anything about "bring your own cord to charge". In fact, the picture provided looks like a long cord and that it will charge your phone. Is this my screw up?
