Helped lower my cholesterol!
By A. Erwin on Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2013
After struggling with high cholesterol for over five years and my doctor telling me that it would be almost impossible for me to lower it without going on statin drugs I proved him wrong. I've been eating one Corazonas bar on average of five out of seven days per week as a replacement for breakfast. I also go to a low impact aerobic class three days per week and have lost 10 pounds. I don't take any supplements like fish oil. I think that all of these things combined helped lower my cholesterol. I was shocked when my new doctor emailed me the results of my blood work. My cholesterol readings are all now in the normal range. I enjoy eating these bars for breakfast because they are tasty warmed in the microwave for 13 seconds and I can eat them running out the door. My favorite flavors are banana walnut, cranberry flax, and peanut butter. My husband doesn't have high cholesterol but he enjoys the chocolate chip one mainly because he is a chocoholic. The merits of plant sterols was featured on the Dr. Oz Show recently and in one segment they showed foods that contain high amounts of plant sterols. They showed a snack bar that looked exactly like the Corazona bar. I will continue to buy these bars. I believe the price to be reasonable, especially considering the health benefits.

So-so oat bars for a snack now and then
By AC on Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2020
There are okay, so far as oat bars go. Somewhat chewy, a little less so than your average Clif bar, but with a similar sweetness profile. They have a texture slightly reminiscent of rice crispy bars, a really dense one. More sweet than oaty, but the chocolate is okay. If you want a fairly generic snack-type oat bar that isn't quite as overbearing as the supermarket brands, this isn't a bad way to go. If you want a real, substantial oat bar, go for Bobo's (ASIN: B015TLG85A). I've tried a few different ones over the last few months, and those seem to be the best. Rather mild flavor, relatively speaking, but probably twice as dense as these, with more substance to them.
