Shea Moisture - Curly Girl Method friendly

Most (all?) the Shea Moisture hair products are Curly Girl Method friendly so I started using them as a much cheaper alternative to Deva Curl. I like Shea Moisture much better than Deva Curl, and this is my favorite one. Wonderful smell, mostly safe ingredients, a few questionable, I'd like to see just where they got the scent from exactly so I'd know it was natural and safe and not funky chemicals masquerading as a natural scent.

Additional ingredient in new bottle

This conditioner is not the same that I previously purchased. It has an additional ingredient, Hydrolyzed vegetable protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol. Not sure if this is causing this to be different or what, but the smell is faulty, the color is not as white, and this made my hair coarse. I contacted the MFG, and received 2 MFG coupons. The issue is that everywhere I look they do have this new formula which I do not want to experiment with anymore. My first 24 oz bottle without that ingredient was really nice, made my hair silky smooth and loved the smell.
