Great

Effectiveness: This ointment is incredibly effective at providing intense hydration. Whether I’m dealing with dry patches, chapped lips, or minor skin irritations, a small amount goes a long way in soothing and nourishing my skin. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my skin’s texture and moisture levels since I began using it. Texture and Absorption: The texture is rich and creamy, yet it absorbs surprisingly well without leaving a greasy residue. It creates a protective barrier on the skin, which is perfect for locking in moisture. I especially love using it at night to wake up with soft, hydrated skin. Ingredients: I also appreciate that it contains essential ceramides and hyaluronic acid, which are key for maintaining healthy skin. It feels good to use a product that is formulated with beneficial ingredients and is free from fragrances that can irritate sensitive skin. Overall Impression: In summary, the CeraVe Healing Ointment is a fantastic product for anyone looking to hydrate and protect their skin. It’s effective, easy to use, and made with quality ingredients. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable healing ointment!

Way too greasy
By Kim & Paul on Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2025
I'm actually surprised at just how greasy this is, and how long it takes to absorb after reading all the rave reviews about it. Needle to say, I'm kinda disappointed. It's just as greasy as plain old Vaseline. I'd been looking for a replacement of the Aveeno Cica Balm for cracked skin. They discontinued it, unfortunately, as it worked so very well. If you want a moisturizer for your hands that isn't greasy, but actually works (especially for cracked and irritated skin during winter), try Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. Comes in a lil jug twice the size of this one. Whopping 20oz! Twice the amount for the same price. Not greasy and the glycerin in it pulls water into your skin. Tough enough for those cracks in your hands and gentle enough to even use on your face. Wonder cream. I WILL however use this (very greasy) CeraVe Healing Ointment on my feet. Slather it on and then use an old pair of socks and just do an overnight treatment. Unfortunately the grease just is so much in this CeraVe that you literally have to wash your hands in order to touch anything after applying it. Great for overnight foot with socks treatment. That's about it.
