A good night cream, but don't expect miracles.
By Judy L. on Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2024
I am 77 years old, and have been using this night cream every night for the last 3 months. I guess I don't have a lot of wrinkles for my age, but gravity, lack of collagen, age, etc. is taking it's toll. Let's face, there is no cream of any kind that will reverse the effects of aging or replace the collagen our bodies no longer produce no matter how much we spend. Still, we need to try to protect what we have. In my opinion, this is a good night cream that helps to moisturize the skin. It has little to no odor, and absorbs quickly into the skin without feeling greasy. This is not a very large jar, but you don't need much. At 3 months, I am still using the first jar and have used about 3/4 of the jar. So far, I like this night cream and will continue using it. After using it, the next morning my face feels smooth and looks healthy. As mentioned previously, I don't expect miracles from any face cream, but I feel this one has the benefits of moisturizing and making my face feel and look a little better. Hey, at my age, I'll take what I can get. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Honest Review for Sensitive Skin
By Jackie on Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2025
I've tried many, many night creams from high end to drugstore. This one is average. I'm disappointed because of how many rave reviews it has. It will be a good buy for someone who is being budget conscious and wants all these technologies in one pot. It's very rich, but does end up sitting atop the skin with a filmy quality that I don't personally like. I can see why people compare it to higher end products and consider it a contender for a great night cream - it has the richness and the technologies that make it feel similar to high end creams. However, I find it to be more emollient than moisturizing, personally, and it leaves a film on the skin that feels very drugstore-quality. Now, for SENSITIVE SKIN. I think this will be hit or miss. For me, it's a miss. Some drugstore products that are supposed to be ok for sensitive skin create a burning sensation for me. I get that from Cetaphil and micellar waters, probably others I've forgotten. For me, this mildly aggravated my rosacea and it did tingle upon application. It wasn't severe but it wasn't soothing either, (except for alleviating a feeling of tightness on the skin). It also has some ingredients that rosacea people should be careful about: Cyclopentasiloxane, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Butylene Glycol, Dimethicone/vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Palmitic Acid, Myristic Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Tripeptide-1, Laureth-9, Citric Acid, Caprooyl Tetrapeptide-3. Many of these ingredients are FINE for sensitive skin, but it depends on the formulation so you may find they bother you in one formula but not another. If you, like me, have sensitive skin and need a thick moisturizer you might consider trying the La Roche Posay Lipikar AP+M for very dry skin, which has similar technologies to this one (shea butter, niacinamide, ceramides) and I find it much more soothing and moisturizing, although a bit greasier and only suitable at night. Also the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Advanced Repair Barrier Cream, which has a balm-like texture that does wonders soothing tight/dry/damaged skin. For me, the Kiehl's is better as a day cream as it dries matte, and isn't moisturizing enough for winter and certainly not at night in winter. I also used the Derma-e DMAE and Kakadu Plum night cream for ages, which remains my favorite night cream, but I stopped due to concerns of long term effects from DMAE peptides. For daytime I am currently using Illyoon ATO Ceramide cream but it's not quite rich enough for night (for me, with very dry skin) however could be worth a go for someone whose skin is medium dry.
