Fantastic cable with the right balance of price to quality

When my Lightning cables started to fray near the Lighting end (even after careful use), I was in the market for an alternative. Usually, my go to source for cables is Monoprice. Honestly, I don't recall why I chose not to use them this time, but whatever the reason, I came across the Anker product. It had a lot of good reviews and seemed to have that good balance of not too cheap, but not Apple-expensive either. I know a lot of reviewers of other products have had problems with the super cheap cables available and wanted to avoid that.Everything about the cable says the company cares about quality. The cables came nicely packaged with a note saying that they took customer satisfaction seriously and to contact them if I had any issues. The cables have a good strong feel to them and I would go so far as to say that they feel better than the Apple cable. There have been no issues with them working properly and the price felt just right. Should I have problems in the future, I'll be sure to update this review.I'm happy that I found Anker. Unless something crops up down the road, It'll be my go to source for additional cables in the future.

buy the 2-pack since it's not high quality

I bought the 2-pack a little over a year ago. Note that these charging wires never leave my house and always stay and are used in the same spot on the kitchen counter. One wire still functions just fine charging iPhones. The other wire started having problems after about 6 months of usage and eventually stopped functioning. When used in the Anker base, I would plug the now defective wire into a phone and see the charging lightning bolt symbol appear on the upper right of the phone. However, the color indicator on the Anker base would stay as blue (low rate of charge or not charging) instead of green, plus the phone's battery percentage number would not change after 30 minutes of being plugged in. I have just ordered another 2-pack. I still have my original Apple charger and carry that around to various locations - that still works fine even though I'm always twisting it and stuffing it into a bag. I'd have to guess this Anker wire is not made to nearly the same standards as the Apple wire.
