GREAT CAMERA AND GREAT VALUE
By Lily Le on Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2015
I love this camera. I have small and mid size cameras and like this one the most. It has a lot of ZOOM capability with the huge lens and available flash. It is slightly bigger then the smaller more compact cameras, but I love it because it still fits inside a small purse or in the pocket of a coat or men's slacks. The smaller pocket cameras don't have the big zoom lens. It takes great pictures. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful camera without carrying around the bulkier cameras. Great for traveling or everyday use.

Not worth price of admission!
By Stuffing Boy on Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2015
My experience is cut short as I found the Coolpix camera is not very durable. After less than 40 days of ownership I found the LCD panel inexplicably broken. The camera was not dropped and sustained no impact, the screen just mysteriously broke. I previously carried Panasonic Panasonic Lumix ZS20 for three years without any incident, so I can definitely say that the Nikon cannot match durability of the Lumix cameras. Less than 60 days for life span of camera is not really acceptable for me, so based solely on this attribute, I would rate this camera “very poor”. Another poor point with the camera is poor firmware. On Android; I found that once the connection is complete with Camera, the Nikon application will read some basic information from camera and then either freeze or loose connection to camera, even though Wi-Fi connection remained intact through entire process. Usually I was able to download images using Nikon app, but it always took several attempts. On Windows, similar condition would occur, the download would start, and then image download would lose connection to USB connected camera. I’m fairly sure that the USB connection was not defective, unless that defect resided in the camera itself. My guess is that fault is in the camera firmware, where some in device bug is breaking connections regardless of how you connect to camera. For full disclosure: Picture quality is acceptable. Basically same quality as my phone with much better zoom capabilities. Zoom capabilities are very good, although focus performance is poor. Most of the time, I could get be taking several shots, and would get one in focus. I am basically a point and shoot user, using full auto at all times. So I never used advanced options, and cannot speak to those features. I can say this camera came up short in almost every practical feature I use (aiming camera and pushing take picture button), the devices proved to have poor focus speed, very poor durability, poor firmware and/or software making it a poor choice for casual user like myself. Based on limited use of this camera alone, I doubt that I will ever purchase another Nikon device, and you would get no recommendation for this camera from me. I see on Amazon warning stating “Item Under Review, This item is currently unavailable because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it's described here. (Thanks for the tip!)”, so I assume it is possible that I was shipped a defective item, but that is yet to be determined.
