These covers are not waterproof

I was pleased with the weight and design of the chair covers when I received them. We had a very dry, drought like summer so it wasn't until a recent rain that I found the covers had not kept the chair cushions from getting wet. It was embarrassing as I had company at the time who were about to sit on the now wet cushions.
