Compatible with schick hydro silk 5 trim style razor
By Landen M. on Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2025
Great. Works with my schick hydro silk 5 trim style razor. Gives a smooth, close shave. The blade has a moisturized strip and allows it to easily glide across skin. Literally the BEST razor I’ve ever used. Also doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin!!

Costs 2x Men's Version
By C402 on Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2017
These blades work great out of the box, but they require shaving cream once the moisturizing strip runs out. The strip runs out before the blades are dull. Although I'm willing to pay more for that initial convenience, the last time I purchased replacement blades for both my husband and me, his blades were half the cost of mine. The manufacturer's suggested price was higher and Amazon's discount was lower for the women's version. This made for a huge variation in the final price. I tried one of my husband's blades on my razor to see how it compared. The men's version of the blades fit the women's razor handle perfectly. The five-blade setup looked identical. The features surrounding the blades were different, but the blades themselves had no noticeable differences. The men's version did have some moisturizer to it, but it didn't seem as generous as the women's version. The shave I had with high quality sensitive skin shaving cream and my husband's Hydro blade was as good for me as the Hydro Silk fresh out of the box, but it was not as convenient or tidy. However, it was comparable to the experience with the Silk once the strip has worn off. The men's blade on the women's razor handle worked better for me than when I've simply used my husband's razor. Both handles allowed for a good amount of flex and pivot, but the women's version of the handle seemed easier to grip while shaving legs. For me, the initial convenience is not worth the significant difference in price. I'll start buying men's blades to save 50%. This may not be an option for people whose sensitive skin is even more sensitive than mine. If I had to replace the razor handle, I'd still go with the women's version to start and refill with men's blades. Either way, it's worth it to look carefully at the per blade price before adding it to your shopping cart. The bigger packages sometimes cost more per blade than the smaller packages. In other words, it sometimes costs more to buy one 12 ct package than it would cost to buy three 4 ct packages. Also compare the price of a new razor handle and two blades to see if you can hit a promo that makes the per blade price lower than simply buying refills. In short - good product, but you pay a steep premium for the short-lasting moisturizing strip.
