Good safe...good price

Contrary to other reviews, the instructions were spot on for programming the electronic lock. Nice safe and very roomy. The only two things I believe would make this safe better: a) A metal handle rather than plastic and b) holes to secure to the floor or wall. But, for the price - it is perfect for my needs.

Will not open straight out of the box, turn handle and will not even open.

Plain and simple, I took it out of the box and it would not open. I tried forever, praying that the handle would move and open. I can't explain the way I felt trying time after time, day after day. It made me crazy. I think I now need professional help to explain why I tried that many times, before I finally gave up. As soon as it happened, I blamed myself, I read numerous reviews saying the door won't open. When you can't get past step one which is "turn the handle to the right and open the door", you realize that the instruction book is meaningless, because you can't even get past step two. Box was perfect, no damage at all. I remember reading 100lb paper weight, and when it happened to me, I thought to myself, "oh-no, perfect description", Ugh! I never wanted something out of my house faster, than this safe. I hate even looking at it.
