Marine Grade Bluetooth Speaker

I have bought several Bluetooth speakers. But this Pyle PWPBT60BL is a gem. Little on the bulky side, but the sound is amazing. I have been using my Samsung galaxy S4 for Pandora, which sound OK for a phone. But pairing this badboy really makes a difference. Well over twice the sound and much more depth in quality. Very simple to pair, my phone found it in seconds and works like a charm. Highly recommended if looking for a reasonably priced speaker. Goes perfect in my golf cart!!

I bought this for my nieces birthday and she looooves it! It sounds great and is built to last! Looks and feels durable.

I bought this speaker when we got back from the river. We had friends who made a radio out of a cooler and they spent over $600. It was fine and good, but we wanted one more compact and didn't really care to blast our music so loud. We wanted tunes for our little group and this speaker does just that. I love the rugged look, the sound, and how portable it is. I also love the fact that it has a rechargeable battery. Since its Bluetooth, we got a waterproof box for my iPhone and used a clip to keep it close to the speaker. It works great! Such a great buy!

Worked really well for a while. Used it in the backyard, on the boat, at the beach and it was never submerged or splashed with water but plenty of wet fingers were pushing the volume buttons. However after 10 months the red LED came on and stayed on until it drained the battery but it would never turn on or sync with my phone. Today I figured it was a goner so I took it apart to see if I could tell what went wrong. My guess is that some moisture got through the gap between the case and the LED as there was a burnt/arc mark at the base of where the LED meets the circuit board. So much for water resistance. If you already have one of these then seal the gap around the LED. If you're looking to buy a water resistant speaker then avoid this one.

build and feel:the speaker feels very sturdy and quite heavy; it looks like it could take a decent tumble and be ok (however, i have not really dropped it). ease of use: comes with instructions that are easy to follow. my bluetooth device found the speaker and connected right away. distance of use gets choppy around 5 feet away. it is bluetooth only; no auxillary cable. battery life: based on my useage, using it ~1.5hrs a week, i had to charge it every 4-6 weeks. sound: the sound is definitely loud enough for a single room (bathroom or decent size bedroom) but could be lacking in larger rooms (large family rooms). unless you are gathered around it, say on a porch/campfire or the like, it wouldn't really work well outside. splash/waterproof claim: the rubberized buttons make it look quite splash/water proof, as the usb plug appears to be sealed well. i used it in a steam shower (high moisture, sealed doors) for nearly a year. water splashed directly on it in copious amounts, but it was never submerged. it worked just fine and sounded great in the steam shower; however, the speaker grates are metal and started rusting. the rust eventually stained the tile so i no longer use it in the shower (i do still use it in a dry room as a regular bluetooth speaker). would i buy again: no. i purchased it to use in the steam shower and am not able to do so due to the rusting. there are better bluetooth speakers for better prices if you are just looking for a bluetooth speaker to use in a dry room. alternative products:for use in the actual shower, i am currently using Prolix Waterproof Bluetooth Wireless Shower Speaker and Handsfree Speakerphone. it is smaller, cheaper, and has a decent sound in the steam shower. we'll see how that goes over time.

Starts to rust after a while. Bluetooth range is pretty pathetic. When it does connect, the sound is good.

Just got this little guy, and I must say I'm impressed. It's lighter than I expected; but keep in mind that it's got a big battery inside, so it's not going to be as light as a feather. The material feels high quality in my hands. The metal top part feels like high qualit stainless steel, and the rubber protective material looks top notch. The sound is great. This weekend it will go on a boating trip with us, so I'll post another review about how that goes.

I came online not knowing what I was looking for and I ordered this, and I am glad to have to have it. I love the sound quality; although, it tends to skip from quiet to very loud pretty quickly. I don't know what that's all about. I also love the fact that I can use it when taking a shower or cooking and leave my phone on my desk or whatever. I don't love that I haven't found an MP3 port on it yet. There probably isn't one, but who cares, it was around $45 when I got it!

So we purchased this speaker for a tubing trip and it worked perfectly I just didn't have enough songs loaded I my phone! The Bluetooth distance is great your phone doesn't have to be right next to it and it dropped in the water three funds and still works after almost a year. The only thing to be mindful of is if you are going to use the loop hooks at the end it has a tendency to come out of the actual speaker box

In the product description, it showed a picture of it immersed in water yet when I read the instructions it said that it was merely water resistant. I bought it for use in the shower, but am leery of getting it wet now. It arrived in a sealed package but it has rust on one side of the speaker.
