Rachael Ray Porcelain II 12-Piece Cookware

These were purchased as a Christmas Gift - thus the return window expired on Amazon before this was opened. The box and packaging arrived in good shape so there was no reason to open and inspect before wrapping for the tree. Upon inspection after opening, one of the lids had a significant dent in the metal rim that goes around the edge to seal it on top of the pot (thus it won't seal well). A nice thing about these are their cool touch red handles, but one of these handles has a significant cosmetic blemish. So, it was nice to see in the packing that these come with a "Lifetime Warranty" and since the Amazon return window was closed that seemed a pretty good direction to turn. We called the number given only to learn that they require the item to be returned for "Warranty Evaluation" prior to their shipping you a replacement. Given that these two issues were somewhat minor (but it is brand new), the hassle (and expense) of shipping them back and waiting weeks to get their replacements (if they are deemed to be covered by Warranty). In this day of digital photos, it would seem a company could assess the product and agree to ship replacements and then require the failed items be returned in the packaging the replacements were shipped in. We love Rachael Ray and are a bit surprised this "Lifetime Warranty" is designed to protect them from the very small % of actual abusers who are out there in the world.
