Makes my teeth hurt

They seem to work as intended, but they make my teeth extremely sensitive for two days after. I only use them maybe once every two weeks, not even nightly/back-to-back. I chose to go this route thinking it would be gentler on my teeth but it may just be worth going and getting it professionally done that way I don't have to repeatedly deal with the pain from the sensitivity.
