Very helpful for my back issues!
By TAZ on Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2016
I purchased the Teeter EP 560 after looking at them for several years. My sister has the upgraded version and loved it so I finally decided to get one for me. I am definitely happy with this purchase as it has decreased the number of visits I make to the chiropractor. I have lower back issues and at times cannot walk when my back goes out. I have gone to the chiro and also had therapy to get me walking again. I find that I cannot use the inversion table when my back is already out and it hurts more when I invert when my back is way out and I am already in pain. But when I am only slightly out and there is no pain, the table stretches me out and I usually slide back into place easily . So for me the table is more of a preventative treatment. Instead of monthly chiro appointment or semi-monthly appts, I have not been back for several months. I definitely feel that the teeter is one of the tools I need to keep mobile, but it is not always the answer to my issue. It is sturdy and I like having the handles to pull myself up if need be. I do have to wait until my husband is available to help me get into it as I have arthritis in my hands and I am not able to get down or have the strength to pull the levers that release my feet from the foot restraints. I would definitely recommend that you have someone to help you the first few times until you get used to using it and see if doing it alone is safe for you. Also, we have to adjust the table whenever we switch from my using it to my husband using it as the height determines how easily you go up and down. I found that I need to put mine at 5'6" even though I am 5"3" so that when I move my arms, I tilt back up with very little effort. My husband has the same situation, only he has to put his height at more than 3 inches in order to achieve the same effect. I do love having this and it has definitely helped me with my back issues. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for another tool to help with their back issues. It was not too difficult to put together. My husband and I both worked on it. We had the video on a notebook computer and watched it step by step while putting it together. That was very helpful!

Ankles arn't made to hold you like this.
By Pause Screen Media on Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2014
This item occupies my second bedroom. It looks at me every time I walk by with the expression of disappointment and longing to be used. I feel guilt each time I walk by and refuse its company as it stands motionless in the dark waiting to be inverted and serve its purpose. Truthfully I bought this for my wife so there is no reason for me to be jealous. Truth be told though I bought it off Amazon thinking that I too could jump like a 72 year old eventually. My back was in pain all the time and I hoped that buying this would relieve it. However it eventually made it so I could jump the same distance I could before. Assembly: Putting it together was difficult at first and then became easier as I assembled it like a hero. Instructions were key to getting this together. Use: The first time I used it I was confused. It was after all not something intuitive. My first try and flipped backward so hard it was like I slipped on a banana peel. Then after realizing I needed to adjust the strap. I adjusted it and then used my balance to slowly invert. The blood rushed to my head, my heart pounded in my chest and I felt like I was having trouble breathing. After the third time it normalized and I could. I did some online looking and found that 5 minutes was as long as I should go. Over time things started feeling a bit better but still hurt. This did not relieve pain like it said it would. I eventually looked and found that this product is great for the lower back but other than that you won't get the results promised by TV. This is really and over priced inversion table no different from any other. The normal feeling I got was that my ankles were going to separate long before my back was. After a while the ankles just did not want to do anymore. The improvement I would suggest is that they add in support that stretches from the top of the calf down to the ankle to provide more of a leg support than they currently have. CONCLUSION - This is another piece of gym equipment you will buy, use for the first week, and then realize you haven't used it in months. Spend the money on a good chiropractor or some moon boots.
