Nice quality PA speaker!
By dan on Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2022
This speaker has so many features that you can play around with. And yes it's loud enough to jam! Once you take the time and learn the functions you will enjoy this system. I purchased it primarily to play music from the USB slot and it plays very well. The sound is very good, the unit is nice and heavy which means you're getting a well made system. Very good quality! At a good price!

Stopped charging after 2 months, poor sound quality

I had the ION Block Rocker Portable Speaker System with AM/FM Radio by ION Audio before but I sent it to my Mom and bought this Pyle PRO PCM system. Sadly besides the terrible sound quality, the unit failed to charge after only 2 months of use. Though the Pyle Pro Unit is a lot nicer looking and flashier, I would advice you all to go with the ION PA system. The sound was much better and the unit felt very solid. It cost me $60 to ship the unit back. Its been almost two weeks and I still have not heard back from Pyle customer support. Be warned. Meanwhile I have to pay them $15 to ship this unit back to me. Frankly I will prefer they just return my money back to me but we shall see. stay tuned.

I've used this every week day for one year, and it started having a lot of issues after about 6 months. I've always kept it plugged in, so I can't comment on the battery life. It's convenient to wheel around, and is handsome looking. I started having issues, and I kept thinking it was the microphone or the cable to the microphone. I finally narrowed it down to the PA system. I've repurchased microphones and cables twice. The PA system actually looks brand new, and I wish it didn't have issues. Issues I've had 1. negatively reacts with any of the Smartboards or Promethean boards while presenting to an audience. 2. after 6 months I couldn't get rid of the static issue. It was annoying because it was louder than my voice at times. 3. some may feel that the audio just isn't loud enough. Depending on your audience, will determine if you should purchase this PA system. It's fine for a quiet group of 20 people. Praise 1. the first 6 months this thing was just awesome. It wasn't the loudest, but my voice projected very nicely. It also didn't have any issues reacting negatively to electronic presentation boards.

This is really slick looking, and with the built-in wheels and retractable handle, it is a convenient design. Previously I had purchased a 300W Fender system at Guitar Center, but it was so awkward for me to handle that I took it back. The first unit I received appeared to be working great, but on loading music on an SD card and a USB drive, it seemed there was no way to navigate between tracks. The instruction diagram is a little vague, so it was hard to tell exactly how this was supposed to happen or how the display was supposed to look when doing that. My boyfriend and I had a little discussion. He thought the problem was the unit had been re-engineered since the instructions were written, I was thinking the display was malfunctioning. He called Pyle. It was evening, and there was no one in tech support (not surprising), so he got a message he was being put into their general delivery mailbox, then a message the mailbox was full, and then was disconnected. He was outraged. Somebody needs to fix that phone tree so a customer can leave a message with tech support. The next day I called. We were unable to determine exactly what the problem was, but he offered me 30 day warranty service: ship it back and wait. I mentioned I had got it from Amazon, and it was brand new. So he said to return it to Amazon for a replacement. We haven't hooked up the replacement unit to the wireless mic to see if that works, but the display is working fine, and I am able to skip from one track to the next, as needed. I'm going to assume the auxiliary input is working, will update if I find out different.

I bought this system in September 2012 for Tail Gating purposes. It worked great for the first time in October 2012 and I haven't used it every since. I was preparing for a pinic in the park Saturday May 4, 2013 and I wanted to take this system along with me for entertainment, so I plugged it in the night before to charge the battery all night, however, when I tried to use it Saturday the battery was low and it failed to charge so it was useless for the park. The system doesn't work for me because I bought it because its operates on batteries. I would like to know where to buy a power supply cord for the system or where I can go to get it repaired.
Decent portable sound, abyismal documentation.

This unit works as you'd expect for something this size. It's not going to knock down any walls, but when our dance troupe performs at local festivals (far from an electrical outlet) we and the audience can hear our music clearly, even with the main stage blasting bluegrass across the park. Tried it with a microphone (Pyle-Pro PDMIC58 Professional Moving Coil Dynamic Handheld Microphone), which helped for more soft-spoken presenters, but I can usually draw a crowd with my unaided voice. Didn't have any feedbak problems - stuck the mic rignt in front of the speaker to test hat, and there wasn't a squeak until it was within a foot. The wheels are good for moving it on sidewalks or indoors, but if you're taking it across grass you'll want to use a wagon, and it's not so heavy it can;t be carried. Haven't found a practical use for the pitch control -- maybe intended for an instrument playing along to recorded background. My chief quibble is with the instruction sheet, which is little more than an illustration of the knobs and buttons with maybe a sentence on their function. You can use it with a USB drive or SD card, but nowhere is the file format specified. I had to experiment to find that it will only work with MP3 files, and if there's any other kind of file in the folder you won't be able to scroll past the odd file or access the other folders. Nothing in the instructions about when to twiddle and when to press, or which button selects what files. The display screen takes a while to scroll though the file name, so you'll want to put the title first. Or better yet, just plug in your iPod. Yesterday when I turned it on, the lights started flashing in a pattern with a *pop* every second. Checked the meager troubleshooting guide, found nothing on that. (Yes, I've tried switching it off and switching it back on again, and it's plugged in and fully charged...Now what?) To summarize, it is what it is. Decent compact portable sound at a fair price.

I purchased the PylePro Audio System for my sister who is a professional singer. Along with her TC-Helicon Voicelive Play she is able to have a professional system for small venues. The battery feature is essential in areas that have limited access to power. The flexible input capability is very convenient and reliable. We have used the system at outdoor events as well as indoor events such as funerals and small weddings. I have been completely pleased with the PylePro and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good portable sound system.

The sound was descent but lacking battery-draining bass. Volume was best at 50-60%. Even mids and treble would distort at volumes near 80%. Mixer is pretty cool but slow to read SD card. It's best to just hook up an iPod to the RCA inputs. Tons of inputs. All said and done I liked the thing until the 3rd time I used it. Battery died in less than an hour. The fourth time I used it, it wouldn't hold a charge. Major bummer. Can't return without a penalty so looking for a battery replacement. I would recommend the BOSE Dock 10 instead. Sounds better and reliability is much, much higher. Update!! I replaced the battery and item worked great. Upon charging the second time, the battery went bad. It appears to be a manufacture or engineering defect. There is no protection preventing overcharging the battery. If you overcharge the battery it will damage it. Either be careful and keep unplugged or charge and monitor. This thing kills batteries!!!

We have loved using it. Flip the switch, and hand over the mike, anytime, any place. We also loved using a flash drive or iphone to play music for our outdoors Vacation Bible School. There was no need to wait for an extension cord or generator, we just turned it on, and had the music we wanted. We did have a problem using the flash drive controls. We couldn't ask the machine to play a specific song, or get it to program them in a certain sequence, they just played all songs in the order they were listed on the Fashdrive. The controls only would pause the music, or change the volumn. With the Iphone we had the control we needed, so we used that if there was some variation wanted on the speaker system. We were a little worried about overcharging the speaker, and were careful to run it all the way down and just charge it overnight. It had plenty of battery for two or three days of use, and gave good volumn for our situations in doors and out. We would like to experiment more with adding another speaker to increase volumn for some challanging situations. All in all, we really enjoy this machine, and highly recdmmend it to anyone. Stan
Looks like a winner! 5 stars for the unit (so far) -1 star for the User's Manual

Bought this for small indoor and outdoor DJ and MC work. Looks like it will meet my needs quite well. As is the case with many China imports, the User's Manual is poorly written. This is especially true in the area covering the USB/SD instructions. I had to go through a lot of trial and error to figure out its capabilities. I would recommend that Pyle's tech support review and rewrite the manual. So far, just playing it in the house, the sound quality is better than I expected for such an inexpensive item. Although I don't expect to do many outdoor events where power is unavailable, I can't wait to see if the battery life is as long as advertised. Love the portability of the unit and the sound for its size and price.
