Sea-Doo SD95001 Aqua Ranger Sea Scooter, Green

I ordered a Sea Doo Aqua Ranger Sea Scooter from Atlantic Boat Supply on Amazon.com. After having it only one month, and using it for the 3rd time it sunk to the bottom of the lake. We tried desperately to retrieve it, but it sunk so quickly that we were not able to get it in the 30 foot deep water. It was working just fine, and had been floating as it was suppose to do when not "on" until this happened. There was obviously some kind of defect for this to have happened. The reply I got from Atlantic Boat Supply was that they were not aware of this kind of defect, and that I should contact the manufacturer, but it would probably be an insurance claim. WHAT??? The product information sheet that came with the unit says that the supplier would replace or repair defects in the first 6 month period. I've sent a request for replacement to the manufacturer but am expecting them to send me right back to the supplier. This is the problem with buying online! Some vendors are great and will back up their merchandise. Others will not and should not be in business. There is another review online that I found after this happened to me, saying that theirs sunk like a rock on the first use, never to been seen again. BEWARE of product AND this vendor. I will update my review if and when someone makes good on the warranty on this product.
