Media Storage Pedestal - Espresso

This was the first piece of furniture I've purchases thus far from Amazon. I was definitely impressed with the shipping on this item. The packaging was very sturdy, my pedestal arrived with zero damage. I was a little worried about purchasing such a large item through Amazon, as I have received much smaller and less costly items completely damaged due to inadequate padding inside the shipping box. That was not the case with this storage pedestal. It looks like the manufacturer took care of those issues ahead of time as this appears to have been well packaged straight from the factory. Aside from all of that, I am completely pleased with this storage pedestal. It is low profile (I have limited space) and holds a tremendous amount of media. It also comes completely assembled, except for the adjustable shelves (another plus) which must be installed into the unit after unpacking (easy to do, no tools required). It is sturdy and the finish is nice. It blends well with the other pieces of furniture I have in the living room and also provides a place to display a photo frame or two on the top. You could use this item as a pedestal for a small set of speakers (i.e. one pedestal for each speaker) as the top of the unit is one level surface that does not separate when the door to the cabinet is opened (kind of hard to tell from the pictures). I might order another of these and use them for that purpose. I really like this pedestal! I'm so glad I decided to give it a chance. It has turned a messy nightmare in my entertainment hutch into a non-issue. My advice is to give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed in this.
