JBL 2-way, 5" In-Wall Loudspeaker - Pair

I have these hooked up as my surround speakers on my Sony 7.2 channel receiver Sony STRDN1030 Wi-Fi Network A/V Receiver. I have 23 year old Bose Acoustimass AM-5's for the front speakers, the center speaker is a new BIC America FH6-LCR Dual 6.5-Inch 175-Watt LCR Speaker with Mid/High Frequency Horn, and the sub-woofer is a BIC America F12 12-Inch 475-Watt Front Firing Powered Subwoofer.I had originally bought some Sony speakers for center and surround speakers (Sony SS-CR3000 Center and Rear Channel Speaker Package), but I was not happy with them and ended up returning them. These JBL speakers are so superior in every way. They make the Sony speakers look like a child's toys. These JBL speakers not only sound great, but they look great as well. I was expecting white speakers, but what I received were off white. The thing is, my walls are off white Spanish Lace textured drywall with white trim (white doors, baseboards, etc.). After having installed these speakers, I am glad that they are off white. They blend in so well, and they look so rich if you happen to notice them. The speaker has a nice grill and the speaker can be painted if you want an exact match. The JBL brand can be displayed with a sticker placed on the grill, or left off if you do not want to show the brand. I love the way these look. They look rich and beautiful. They sound even better. I am very happy.The installation was much easier than I thought it would be. Included with the speaker is a cardboard template that is perfectly sized (not too tight, but just right!). I happen to have a Rotozip tool similar to RotoZip SS560VSC-50 120-Volt RotoSaw+ Variable Speed Spiral Saw Kit, so instead of cutting with a box cutter, I simply used my Rotozip with a drywall bit. It was so easy because I didn't even have to be very precise. The speaker has a generous bezel that covers up the hole nicely, so even though my cut might not look perfectly straight, nobody ever knows because it is covered up. Basically, I just pushed the speaker into the hole and use a screwdriver to turn each of four screws in the corners which turn and lock against the drywall. As I turn the screw, it pulls the speaker snugly up against the drywall. Marvelous engineering. Then I just press the grill into the speaker and it is done. Took me no more than an hour, and most of that was cleanup afterward.I am very impressed with the sound. They are louder than I expected and exhibit wonderfully clear sound. I highly recommend these speakers. If my television was mounted on a wall, I would seriously consider buying another set of these for the left and right front speakers instead of using bookshelf speakers.
