Speakers require two spaces... OR MORE. Soundbars sit in that space by the TV you already didn't want to use. See? it's just more efficient to have one bar instead of two, um, cubes. Unless you buy those "artistic" speakers shaped like jaguars. Super classy, but they need a LOT of room.
