In the square-dance of life, evolution is a ruthless caller. Those organisms who can't keep up with the steps get swung round and round into history's graveyard. We all loved the original Robosapien, but its time has passed. It's yesterday's borg, as obsolete as the eohippus, as archaic as the appendix.

This epoch belongs to Robo superior: the bigger, smarter, faster, better second-generation Robosapien Version 2. Taking true bi-pedal strides toward sentience, it (he?) can see, hear, touch, bend, sit, lie down, get up, wave, and mess you up bad with some righteous martial arts moves. In its spare time, it enjoys bowling, dancing, responding verbally to outside stimuli, and interacting with people and objects. And unlike most of the beings you encounter, Robosapien v2 has neither the ability nor the inclination to avoid you.

So don't weep for the original Robosapien. It had its spin around the dance floor. When new challenges arose, it proved too weak and stupid to meet them. Someday, an even more robust, adaptable robot will replace the Robosapien Version 2, but for now - oh, hey, Robosapien v2, I didn't hear you come in. What?
