Why spend big bucks at the salon just to get a haircut when you can pay chump change here—and get them ALL cut?

We wanted so badly to test this grooming kit—get some video of it in action, take before and after photos, the whole deal.

Not because it would have helped you to make a decision about buying it, although it probably would have. No, we just really, really wanted an excuse to separate Aaron in customer service from his “rat tail.”

We don’t know if it’s ironic (or “ironic,” or ”’ironic’”) or what, but it’s flat-out ugly. It’s like: Dude, you missed a spot. He has a pretty normal haircut otherwise. Hey, Aaron! 1983 called. It doesn’t want its hairstyle back. It says rat tails were stupid-looking even then.

Anyway, these kits arrived kind of late, so we didn’t have very much time to plan the operation, and he ran into the conference room before we could corner him and wrestle him to the floor. And there wasn’t an outlet nearby, so we had to scramble for an extension cord, which gave him a chance to break free and escape to his car. He’s surprisingly fleet-footed and agile for such a large guy!

Long story short, we don’t have any photos to show you of the Wahl Comb n’ Cut Grooming Kit doing its thing, combing, cutting, and grooming. And anyway, it’s not really made for rat-tail removal. It’s made for, like, touching up your haircuts, to extend the time you can go between visits to the barber.

It’s not exactly clippers. It trims your hair gradually as you comb it, so you can’t make a mistake and accidentally cut a big notch down to the scalp, the way you can with clippers. But you know what? If you’re like Aaron in customer service, maybe shearing down to the scalp wouldn’t be such a mistake after all. We’ll be waiting for you on Monday, Aaron! If these grooming kits sell out, we’ll put your head down on the paper cutter in the copy room! Put THAT in your “hostile workplace” complaint!
