You know how on every 80's compiliation there's this one track that makes you go "Oh hell, I haven't heard that in years!" when you read the case but then makes you go "Oh, wow, I kinda want to push the skip button and go past this track now" when you actually get it into the player?

The Vivitar ViviCam X30 10MP x 30 Digital Camera is the Shannon track of cameras. But sometimes it's nice to hear that hit from Oxo or Chris DeBurgh. Boasting 10MP and a 2.5" LCD display, you have a chance to pick up the Taco of the Vivitar line. Not since The Escape Club has one thing done so much with so little. 3x optical zoom and white balance and able to take up to a 1GB SD card (plus all the usual trimmings we'll mention in the specs below) make it feel like you are drifting to sleep in a motel room, hearing Glass Tiger from an unfamiliar radio. It isn't home, but maybe it fills an occasional need you didn't remember you had.

Like Thomas Dolby, it works with A Mac. Like A Flock Of Seagulls, it has a rechargeable battery. And like Malcolm McLaren, you'll probably get a couple of really good years out of it and then pretty much never touch it again. But like the career of Rick Astley, the few moments you spend with it will make it worth the price.
