I can feel it: I’m getting close to my prey. When I finally track down and trap the mysterious creature that’s been prowling Pine Marsh Meadows and surrounding subdivisions, all the skeptics will have to stop posting such mean things about me to the neighborhood e-mail list. No matter what they say, those tracks could not possibly have been made by a vintage Aurora dinosaur model. And what about the fecal pellets I found on the island in the middle of the circle drive? I know what rabbit droppings taste like, and believe me: those pellets didn’t come out of any rabbit, at least not one previously known to science.
