Mediterranean Orzo
Our Supreme Orzo blend consists of Saffron Orzo, Fire Roasted Red Pepper Orzo and Porcini Orzo. Delicious in a Pilaf, Pasta E Fagioli or Minestrone soups, cold salads or by itself with butter. Use Orzo instead of rice with stir fry or to make Pilafs, cold salads and soups. Toss cooked Orzo with chopped spinach and sliced almonds for a delightful side dish.

Saffron Rice
For medieval Arabs, who began cultivating saffron from Spain by 960 B.C., the color yellow was a symbol of Joy. Golden Rice became a tradition for holidays and the Sabbath for Sephardic Jews. Saffron Rice is a side dish that goes well with lamb, pork, or fish. Saffron Rice is also great in Spanish paella with chorizo, piquillo peppers, and rabbit. Made of white rice, paprika, turmeric, and saffron powder, it cooks in 20 minutes.

Piacentinu DOP
A rare cheese that is produced exclusively in Sicily, Piacentinu is most noted for its striking yellow color which results from the addition of saffron during the cheese-making process. In typical Sicilian fashion, this sheep's milk cheese from Enna is flavored with whole black peppercorns.
