Brothers and sisters, I ask you today to meditate on forgiveness. Whether we are stealing candy from our mother’s purse or putting a slight slice on our fairway shots, all of us stray from the path of righteousness during moments of weakness. No matter how morally upright we are, no matter how well-balanced the pre-configured weight cartridges in our titanium club heads, no matter how high our MOI or low our center of gravity, we all thirst for the sweet nectar of forgiveness. A mid-torque soft-tip shaft may add distance to our shots, but it cannot heal the pain caused by our mistakes. Only forgiveness – and perhaps a 286cc titanium clubhead – can do that.

But forgiveness comes with a price. To forgive, we must be willing to lay aside our grudges and value reconciliation more than vengeance. To be forgiven, we must pledge ourselves to go and sin no more, and we must be prepared to pay more for a fairway wood than we might otherwise. But when we see the benefits of forgiveness, when we see the healing light guiding us away from anger, when our fairway shots fly straight and true even when we hit the ball off-center, we will know that the price has been worth it.
