The T104 has a modest rectangular metal front accented by carbon fiber temples with acetate temple tips inspired by Vapor zipper pulls. The Tumi logo cast on the temples in metal bends seamlessly into the design.  The T104, like the entire collection of sunglasses, is fitted with a custom ZR3 polarized lens with 100 percent UV protection.

Carbon Fiber

TUMI’s carbon fiber is a strong, ultra-light and expensive composite material, a fiber-reinforced polymer. Similar to fiberglass (glass-reinforced polymer), it has many applications in the aerospace and automotive fields. Our carbon fiber temples are made of five layers of carbon “fabric,” produced under extremely high pressure to create a solid sheet that is then cut into the desired shape.
