Ol’ Black Bart finally crossed the line. People was used to him robbing the Saloon and the General Store. Heck, there was even jokes about it. They made bets across the street. But when he lit Maggie’s Place on fire, well, ain’t nobody was gonna stand for that. So we went over to Arthur’s Rope Emporium and got a strong sixteen feet of rope. And then we went to Bob’s One-Stop-Box-A-Rama and got a good sturdy box. And Neil from Beggars Would Ride gave us his strongest horse for the day. And Judy from Xom Yin Gallery donated her Strait-Line Intersect Laser Level.

We all went by Xom Yin a few times a week. It was admirable how straight them paintings were. Judy always said, the Strait-Line Intersect Laser Level’s automatic leveling took care of all the guess work. All she had to do was set it up and let the lasers automatically level. There were three of them, so you could get horizontal and vertical at the same time, if ya wanted to. It even went hands free, which was perfect for Judy. After her intern got shot by a Cherokee drifter, it was hard for her to lift all them paintings herself. Somehow she made a little how-to video, though. Pretty forward thinkin’, weren’t she?

We hooked that level up on the edge of a tree and it threw up a 600 square foot work area fast as you please. Black Bart kept on beggin’ for mercy. We didn’t listen none. Just strung him up and slapped that horse on the behind. And wouldn’t you know it, when Bart stopped swingin’ he was so level you could use him to draw a blueprint. Rest in peace, hombre.

It’s a little quiet in town now, but I guess that’s how we like it ‘round here. Safe, peaceful and on the level. Specifically the Strait-Line Intersect Laser Level.
