Get to work or get creative with the Galaxy Note9 SM-N960U 128GB Smartphone from Samsung. Featuring a large, 6.4" curved Super AMOLED Infinity Display, a smarter S Pen stylus/Bluetooth remote, and Samsung's updated Bixby digital assistant, the Note9 can fit into both your work and personal life. Use the S Pen to jot notes or remotely control your phone and media. The large screen with edge-to-edge curved glass gives brilliant color and contrast to movies, and enough real estate for proofing a presentation. With an updated Bixby, you can enjoy a more conversational and personal digital assistant experience.
The Galaxy Note9's photo capabilities include dual-rear 12MP cameras with super speed dual-pixel and dual-aperture technology, along with some intelligent AI functionality. You also get a front-facing 8MP camera for all of your selfie needs. With dual-pixel tech, Samsung uses all of the pixels in the sensor to deliver faster autofocusing that's more precise and with better low light performance. Dual-aperture lets each camera automatically switch between f/1.5 and f/2.4 based on available light for improved images, day or night. The cameras can also detect flaws in images, such as closed eyes or a blurry photo, and then notify you so you can quickly take another shot.
Running the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system, this phone is powered by a 2.8/1.7 GHz Octa-Core processor (4 x 2.8 GHz Kyro 385 Gold, 4 x 1.7 GHz Kyro 385 Silver) and 6GB of RAM. You can store your apps, S Pen doodles, and dual-camera masterpieces on 128GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded via an (optional) microSD card up to 512GB in size. This can give you a total storage capacity of up to 640GB. The Note9 also features a 4000mAh battery that provides you with enough power for up to all-day use.
Android 8.0 Oreo
The Android operating system integrates heavily with Google's services. Using the card-based Google Now, Android quickly surfaces information for you whenever you need it, powered by the same Knowledge Engine that runs Google's web search. It's a personalized and customizable OS, allowing you to add your favorite apps or widgets to your home screen. You can even download new themes using the Google Play Store, which offers access to millions of apps, games, books, music, movies, and more. Android 8.0 Oreo adds major productivity and security capabilities to the operating system. They've introduced Google Play Protect, which scans apps on your phone to detect harmful behavior. With the touch of the Home button, continue to work in apps while watching active videos in Picture-in-Picture mode. Other features include, faster boot speed, automatically turning on Wi-Fi when near saved networks, limiting background activity for little used apps, notification snoozing, smart text selection, and more.
North American Variant / US Compatible LTE
The SM-N960 is a US variant of the Note9. The SM-N960's LTE radio is tuned to frequencies that are most often used in the United States and North America. It can also be used in other parts of the world; however, LTE access may be limited or unsupported, depending on the network. To ensure this phone will work with your carrier please check to make sure the frequencies your carrier uses are supported by this phone. The full list of compatible carrier frequencies can be found here, the frequencies this phone supports can be found in the product specs.
All-Day Battery Life
Samsung wants you to do more and charge less, which is why they packed the Note9 with a 4000mAh battery. It's got enough capacity to provide you with up to an entire day's worth of power.
S Pen Stylus with Bluetooth Remote
The revamped S Pen can let you write memos and draw pictures as always, but now with the Note9, it can act as a Bluetooth LE remote control for a plethora of offline functions. Use it as a camera remote to snap photos at a distance, start/stop videos, scroll documents and websites like a mouse, or manage your music playback. The S Pen can remotely control features of the Note9's core functionality, as well as functions within third-party apps, such as Microsoft PowerPoint or YouTube.
Recharging the S Pen is as easy as putting it back inside the Note9. It takes approximately 40 seconds to recharge, which provides up to 30 minutes of wireless use. Samsung has also constructed the S Pen to be a precise stylus with responsiveness and control thanks to its fine 0.7mm tip and 4096 levels of pressure. You can utilize the S Pen as a stylus to quickly jot notes, even if the screen is off. Just pop out the S Pen to immediately turn on the Screen off memo notepad. From to-do lists to notes, write and pin them to the always-on display for easy access or find it later in the Samsung Notes app
Live Message with S Pen & AR Emoji
Liven up your chats with AR Emoji and the S Pen. Doodle and draw on your emojis or get your point across like only you can with a handwritten note.
Smarter Cameras
Tweak your photos less and snap more with the Note9's smarter cameras. The Note9's cameras have been given some AI to intelligently recognize the scene you're shooting, and automatically optimizing the settings for the best result possible.
The AI also features flaw detection, helping to make sure your shots are sharable by detecting when there are flaws, such as closed eyes, blurry images, lens smudges, and more. Once detected, the Note9 will prompt you to fix the issue and take another shot.
HDR Pictures
The HDR capabilities of the Note9 help to create sharp and colorful photos day and night. They are meant to reduce noise, keep details clear, and make colors vivid without washing out light sources.
Super Slow-Mo
Get every incredible instant of that epic flying fetch in super slow-mo. Note9's super-speed camera records at 960 frames per second so you can play back the moment in vivid, detailed glory.
Live Focus
Live Focus is designed to intelligently recognize the subject of your photo and put the spotlight on friends and family by blurring out the background. And when low light is detected, the Note9 camera takes multiple shots when you hit the shutter and blends them together for pin-sharp productions.
Scene Optimizer
With Scene Optimizer, The Note9's rear camera intelligently recognizes scenes and optimizes colors for brilliant shots. Scene Optimizer detects the subject of your photo and offers 20 different modes to enhance it, including Food, Portraits, Flowers, Indoor scenes, Animals, Landscapes, Greenery, Trees, Sky, Mountains, Beaches, Sunrises and sunsets, Watersides, Street scenes, Night scenes, Waterfalls, Snow, Birds, Backlit, and Text.
Bixby Digital Assistant
With an updated Bixby you can enjoy a more conversational and personal digital assistant experience. Bixby learns your tastes, understands more about what you are asking, and remembers your past requests. Ask for a cab to the airport and Bixby will automatically use your Uber account.
Ask for restaurants nearby and it will pop options with your favorite cuisine to the top of the list. Change the date and Bixby will remember you're asking for a restaurant reservation and will adjust the current request without additional information. Bixby will even populate the party size and time based on previous requests. These are just a couple of examples of Bixby's updated ability to be more personal, conversational, and useful.
