For women, the Railto is designed with unique acid-etched top bar that accentuates the subtle cat-eye shape giving it a thoroughly modern silhouette unlike any other. Temples are metal etched with the signature Tumi ballistic nylon pattern, topped off with the rings of Saturn. This frame, like the entire collection of sunglasses is fitted with a custom Zeiss ZR3 CR39 lens with standard UV protection.

Carbon Fiber

TUMI’s carbon fiber is a strong, ultra-light and expensive composite material, a fiber-reinforced polymer. Similar to fiberglass (glass-reinforced polymer), it has many applications in the aerospace and automotive fields. Our carbon fiber temples are made of five layers of carbon “fabric,” produced under extremely high pressure to create a solid sheet that is then cut into the desired shape.
