Buddy Rich. John Bonham. Topper Headon. These are just a few of the many drumming legends who wouldn’t be caught dead with the MiJam Drummer Drumsticks for iPod/MP3 Player. The manufacturer says “A unique feature of the MiJam Drummer drumsticks is that they allow you be the drummer!”, but we kinda thought that was true of pretty much every drumstick. Even calling them “drumsticks” seems like a stretch, since they’d probably fall apart if you ever hit some drums with them.

We suppose giving these to your kid, and letting him wave them around in the air and listen to the beats on his headphones, is probably preferable to buying him an expensive drum kit that’s going to annoy the hell out of you for six months and collect dust for ten years. The MiJam Drummer Drumsticks for iPod/MP3 Player will probably help your little Neal Peart develop some sense of rhythm and manual dexterity, and blow off some of that boundless childhood energy. But it’s not the way to Carnegie Hall.
