If you’re here, right now, in the middle of this Woot-off, you’re all about one thing. Driving our staff crazy with inane banter. But the thing that comes second in your life is your love of savings. So check out the Logitech ClickSmart 510 Webcam.

Now some of you are going to be pointing out that it has 320×240 video resolution and also takes 1 megapixel still shots and has a built in microphone and so it isn’t as good as the cameras they used to film Lord Of The Rings and Woot should be selling those cameras instead and for like six dollars each and that’s great and we understand and appreciate your feelings. But really, let’s be reasonable.

This Logitech ClickSmart 510 Webcam is really a nice little Christmas gift for that person at work who asks you if Firefox is a virus. Or a great stocking stuffer for your podcast guy who just wants a myspace page made of nothing but photos of his Hulk figures and that gif of a dog puking then licking it up (which, now that we’ve mentioned it, will probably be posted in the comments about two seconds from now). It’s USB 1.1, which means that you can probably plug it in to that old laptop that even Ubuntu won’t recognize. It’s compatible with Windows 98, 2000, ME and XP and comes with lots of great software to do something called “edit” your video. WE’ve noticed that pretty much all the big blockbusters are “edited” these days, and look how popular they are!

So bite the bullet, be the cool guy, and start that shy niece and nephew off on the wonderful world of webcams. Maybe all that attention will make them the next Britney Spears, or at least the next Chris Crocker! Either way, you’re off the hook for another 364 days.
