The handsome devils on the creative team, on the other hand, detest the sight of the damned thing. Seriously, folks: how many funny angles can you take on one wireless computer/home theater controller? Our muses have stopped returning our calls.

You know, like, nothing against the Gyration Ultra GT Cordless Air Mouse in and of itself. Its 30-foot range and 3-dimensional, gyroscopic tracking are handy attributes indeed when you’re using your media center PC, or browsing the web on your big-screen TV, or giving video presentations. The package even includes GyroTools media center software for Windows. All this might be overkill for standard desktop computer usage, but it works for that, too. It’s not the Gyration Ultra GT’s fault that some product manager thought way too highly of its commercial potential.

But we’re petty people. We can’t help but resent the Gyration Ultra GT Cordless Air Mouse, for bedeviling our work days and haunting our nightmares. We’d tell you to buy it for its precision sensor and its cordless, desktop-free convenience, but our real motives for moving these accursed mice out are much more self-centered.
