An organic, single origin, honey process coffee from Honduras, Chayote, is grown and produced by Manuel Pereira and his wife Linda, who run Finca La Concepción as a family operation in the Marcala region of Honduras. Manuel’s passion for coffee and innovative spirit are evident in the exceptional quality of Chayote. With its notes of caramel, chocolate, and tart fruit, this medium roast coffee is a delight for the senses. Not only is Chayote delicious, but it’s also 100% organic and Bird Friendly, making it an sustainable choice for coffee lovers. Grown at an elevation of 1655m above sea level in Marcala, Honduras, Chayote is a specialty grade coffee which is carefully processed using the honey processing method.

“Spotlight” is a rotating natural process Honduran coffee. We’re currently featuring a coffee from Mira Flores, one of our family member farms in Honduras. It’s natural process produced by owner Nelson Amador’s cousin, Joel Banegas Sr. Joel Banegas is a fourth generation coffee farmer and cousin to Five Star Coffee Roastrs owner, Nelson Amador. He is the operations and milling manager for our exporting company in Honduras in addition to managing his own farm, Finca Mira Flores.
