Excalibur says this Micro Forever flashlight utilizes the Faraday effect, ensuring that it will never need new bulbs or batteries. Never, ever, ever. Glancing over the copious, complex equations on the Faraday effect Wikipedia page, we’re lazy enough to take them at their word. As far as we know, highly evolved cockroaches in the unimaginably distant future will shake this up every time they need a few minutes of weak light in emergencies. Frankly, they promise too much. We just need to know it’ll work in our lifetimes. Beyond that lies the darkness no flashlight can pierce…unless this Faraday guy is still at it on the far bank of the River Styx.
