What’s wrong with kids today? Back when we were small fry, all it took to get us to want a remote-control helicopter was that it was A REMOTE-CONTROL HELICOPTER for crying out loud. Just the thought of piloting our very own mini-chopper around the yard would have made every fiber in our young bodies ache with desperate yearning.

“UNNNHHHHHH, IWANNITIWANNITIWANNITIWANNITIWANNIT,” we would have said, before collapsing in a covetousness-induced seizure.

But now look! The present-day youngster is drowning in a buhjillion toys, any one of which would have been the single coolest thing a twelve-year-old us had ever seen—and coolest by a lot. It’s not enough for these world-weary pipsqueaks that this thing flies up to about 12 miles an hour and obeys your commands at up to a 15-yard radius. They yawn when you tell them it’ll fly for eight to ten minutes on a full battery charge. (Those would have been the most awesome eight to ten minutes of our lives when we were their age! And that’s counting the time we got to meet Jabberjaw at the mall.)

No, to get kids’ attention nowadays, a big, beautiful RC ‘copter like this one has to stoop to adorning itself with a popular name brand. Personally, we find it sad. The whole tawdry business cheapens us all.

Fortunately for you, though, it cheapens this helicopter, too. Literally. Score!
