Sure you love your dog, but there are limits.

You talk a good game, bragging about how you “WUUUUUUUV” your “widdle puppertins SOOOOOOOOO much!” But when push comes to shove, how many of you put your money where your mouth is? Or more specifically, put your hands where your dog’s mouth is?

The old wives’ tale is that human mouths are actually dirtier than dogs’, but you wouldn’t know it from the smell. Well, except for Jay in IT, but he’s kind of the outlier. So we all know that brushing your teeth is the best way to prevent tooth decay, right? Heck, it even prevents heart disease! It’s true; that plaque on your teeth? Let it get bad enough and it’ll work its way into your gums and become plaque in your arteries. And we dutifully brush and floss twice a day, sometimes we throw in a little mouthwash.

But what about your little canine friend? No one seems to have the time to brush the DOG’S teeth twice a day. So what do they get? A gnarly bone to chew on. “Oh yeah,” people say to assuage your guilt, “that totally works. It’s like a toothbrush for dogs.” So you buy yourself a 3-Pack of Dingo Meat in the Middle Rawhide Chews and feel like you’re doing something for yourself and your best friend.

And you know what? You are. They’re delicious – well, they’re delicious to dogs, anyway – they’re high in protein, and they’re fully digestible so your dog shouldn’t have any troubles chowing down on them. And maybe they do clean your dog’s teeth and gums. Who knows? Isn’t the whole reason you’re buying these so you don’t have to get up close and personal and mess with it?
