Hey, doesn’t this player look a bit… Tron colored?

We’re just saying. While everyone else is out there with their Encom Badges and their crazy lightcycle shirts, could Disney have been sneaking out unlabeled merchandise as part of their exciting marketing campaign? Could they have secretly made some MP3 players in the famous “Digital Blue” that we all know to be part of the Tron universe? Wouldn’t this player, a player that has no internal memory of its own, a player that relies on the “user” to insert a SD/MMC/Disney Mix Clips Card that might also be known as an “identity disc”, wouldn’t that player be the perfect thing on which to play the new Daft Punk? Wouldn’t that give you serious geek cred?

Basically, Disney, we’re giving you an example here of how the dude who handles your MP3 player account totally dropped the ball. You could have moved a ton of these things with some clever branding. C’mon, you threw a guy out of a helicopter in San Francisco, how hard is it to score a few tickets?
