You’re interested in this dandy Bushnell WeatherFX 5-Day Weather Forecaster, but you’re afraid you’ll miss your local television weather personality. Don’t worry. We’re here to help.

What You’ll Need:

- a slightly out of date suit and garish tie. You should be able to find these at your local thrift store, though you may have to punch a hipster in the neck to get the best ones.

- one slightly used toupée

- a mannequin. A full size one is best, but just a torso and head will work fine.

- duct tape or some other strong adhesive

- this Bushnell WeatherFX 5-Day Weather Forecaster, featuring severe weather alerts, satellite-synchronized clock, and 5-day AccuWeather forecasts. This device requires virtually no setup, unlike the rest of this project.

Instructions:

1. Mount your new Weather Forecaster to the face of the mannequin using duct tape. Hollowing out the head to place the Forecaster inside also works.

2. Dress up your mannequin. Make sure to style the toupée after affixing to the head. Also, take care to keep the hair out of the color-changing back-lit display.

3. Give your new “local weather personality” a name! Try something that consists of two first names, like Joe Harrison or Robert Gregory. Remember, the cheesier it is, the happier you’ll be with your new in-house weather friend.

4. For added effect, paint up a room of your home to look like your forecast is in a news studio. You could even set up a green screen for him sit in front of. This is your chance to really get creative, so go nuts!

5. Congratulations! You’ve succeeded in recreating your weatherman fantasy in the convenience of your own home. Your friends and family may never visit again, but at least you’ll have accurate forecasts updated wirelessly every 15 minutes in a way you’re comfortable with. Enjoy!
