Our passion for spicy honey combined with our love of bourbon led us down the wild road of barrel aging spicy honey. Thanks to a friend of ours, we were able to purchase a barrel this past summer that was used to make an award winning craft bourbon. We filled that barrel up with our Hot Hive Carolina Reaper honey and aged it for 5 months. From that batch, we hand-bottled 871 bottles and put each bottle in an engraved wooden box made in Wisconsin.
