Streaming Rivalry

Dear Diary: sometimes I wish people would see me as the ATI TV Wonder 600PCIe, and not just the 650PCI’s sister.

I get so sick of people at school asking me if I have two TV tuners like the 650PCI. And just today, my own grandma asked me why I can’t pick up FM radio stations like the 650PCI. So what if I can’t? Just because I don’t have a motion adaptive 3D comb filter, noise reduction, and edge enhancement, does that mean I don’t have feelings?

Why can’t they just accept me as I am, diary – 600PCIe, warts and all? My sister and I both allow viewing, pausing, and recording live TV in full HD. We both feature PVR functionality complete with an electronic programming guide. We can both convert video to various portable media player formats, and you can access our programs from any broadband-connected computer.

But no. Everybody always wants to compare, to tear me down for not being everything my sister can be. But just you wait, diary. Someday somebody’ll need a tuner that fits a PCI Express slot – and then this lowly 600PCIe will show that 650PCI that she’s not so great. Someday, diary. Someday
